“Intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all of our needs, whether for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love.”

Our Values

Set Intentions - Our Story.png

How it all began…

Almost 13 years ago, Katie moved to Los Angeles because of a love of performing and working in entertainment. Katie and her partner Alex realized through years of filmmaking, especially freelance, the film industry often operates under unsustainable methods when in comes to not just the planet, but the talent and the crew. We often don’t talk about how this affects our mental health as well as connection, communication and creativity and teamwork, necessary in storytelling. This led them to find more sustainable ways to work, first on set with Paper Ball Pictures and later Set Intentions.

Thus, Set Intentions was born. With Katie’s experience on set, she helps teams create and schedule mindful and sustainable systems with foundations of balance and community in events, entertainment and storytelling. There are food and coffee trucks that visit set for crew morale, and Set Intentions provides a mobile wellness alternative—time for people to come connect, flow, nap, and/or do whatever they feel called to do to decompress.

This helps refill the batteries physically and mentally, giving creatives the space to relate and share self care tools, more mindfully creating art connecting to what and who they are creating with. Set Intentions specializes in peer-led processing groups for entertainment professionals to ground, connect, feel heard and move their bodies.

In practicing yoga off the mat, all services are dedicated to leave a smaller carbon footprint on the earth. Through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we plant a tree for everyone involved.
